Conduit3G Introduced As Solution To Next Generation Technology Gaps

BOSTON, MA - Advance Release - The Novatics Corporation, an emerging global leader in the development and proliferation of advanced air interface technologies for the wireless telecommunications industry, will today announce success in testing key elements of its Conduit3G technology group at a meeting of cooperative network providers.

Conduit3G represents the first commercial wireless technology group to emerge from the new company's ambitious development program, and is slated to begin operation in both domestic and international markets by Q2 2007.

“We are exceptionally pleased to see component technologies of the Conduit3G program performing so well at this early stage,” said Novatics Chief Executive Officer John A. Dooley. "Conduit3G will be the first iteration of a larger research and engineering program to be applied to network infrastructure, and already we see strong indications that it will exceed our most optimistic expectations of just one quarter ago. Indeed, this is a very exciting time for both Novatics and our colleagues in the network provider sector at large.”

Conduit3G technology will allow developers and operators to adapt their network infrastructure for significantly more complex cellularization schemes. Through the use of proprietary software and hardware applications, network providers will achieve exponentially greater levels of control over their system’s interaction with the air interface medium. Especially in urban environments, this unprecedented level of control will mean a marked increase in both spectrum recycling and network integrity.

Increasing spectrum recycling and network integrity means enabling the creation of greater system capacity and service reliability. At the levels being made possible by Conduit3G, providers can expect significant multiplication of current system capacity and per-user bandwidth allocation, both of which will be essential prerequisites to the long-term operational viability of fully enabled 3rd and 4th Generation wireless applications.

“The name given to this technology group – Conduit3G – was intended to suggest that these radical new capabilities would act as a figurative ‘conduit’ to next-generation capability,” continues Dooley. "In fact, we already see this new offering living up to its name. We are more than 18 months away from release, there has been no major marketing effort, and yet the interest from providers in every market is intense. Not even into full 3G yet, developers are already running into serious difficulties, and they see this as a clear long-term solution. Our message to them: help is on the way.”
