Photonics science is at the core of modern telecommunications. From the infrared wavelengths streaming over fiber optic backbones to the microwaves radiating from cell sites, a strong familiarity with the behavior of electromagnetic emissions in complex environments is of critical importance to network design. Recently, however, an even more complete understanding of RF propagation in urbanized environments has become of paramount importance to the necessary evolution of 3G and 4G networks. This is why Novatics is taking the lead in creating new ways to investigate and predict the infinitely complex behavioral dynamics of microwave radiation in cities. Through clean-sheet development of new technology, Novatics has supplanted decades old design techniques, while setting the foundations for an entirely new class of high performance urban network.
Next-Generation Air Interface Simulation
Just as fiber optic cable forms the backbone of today's most advanced wireline networks, the Air Interface Medium is the true foundation of the wireless network. However, for modern wireless systems, aggressively expanding user bandwidth and overall capacity is far more challenging than simply adding cable. Rather, mobile networks must manipulate their resources with surgical precision, while engineering in highly complex and unpredictable coverage environments. This is why Novatics is pioneering next-generation Air Interface Simulation technologies that are fast making wireless networks perform like their wireline counterparts. Through our efforts, engineers will soon develop and retrofit networks with an ease of scalability never before imagined in wireless.
